Canon 5D MKII video setup
DSLR boilerplate setup. A quick video by DOP Phillip Bloom detailing how to properly set up a Canon 5D MKII for video. Excellent, to the point and a perfect base to start.
Key points:
1. Use 24fps
2. Use manual mode (M)
3. Set shutter to 1/50
4. Set ISO to 160, or increments of 160 (ie. 160, 320, 640)
5. Create a custom picture setting, Sharpness -4/ Contrast -4/ Saturation -2
He briefly mentioned using ND filters to knock down light. If you shoot under standard daylight conditions, you will need an ND without a doubt.
