Many opine that the future of web logging is threatened. With Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Gowalla, FourSquare etc. dividing our attention and decreasing our attention span, I am inclined to agree. But, social media is just a stream of aggregated bits and snippets of conversations, images and thoughts. I proudly live and work in the upper Midwest, Madison, Wisconsin, U.S.A. and am inspired by the craftsmen, artists and creatives of the past, their processes, dedication and ownership of their work and lean on this to weave historical aesthetics into my own work while producing fresh and engaging visuals. My workflow is entirely digital, but throughout the process of image making, I strive to give each piece an authentic, handcrafted feel.
