Sony reached out and offered a chance to spend a few days in San Diego testing out a preproduction model of the Sony Alpha 7 II.
We'll spend three days in and around San Diego shooting various scenes using the upcoming Alpha II camera body and your lenses.
Incredible. The photographers had access to Sony engineers throughout the days and nights. One of the lenses I brought was a vintage anamorphic lens called the. Wrangling it onto the Sony body was possible because of the techs on hand. They made it happen, and it was somewhat of an amazing experience using the Sony and the Iscorama. Two pieces of technology 60 years apart, working in perfect harmony.
The images below were from a lunch/photoshoot at the Ironside Seafood and Oyster Bar in Downtown San Diego, California.
The narrow images have an aspect ratio of 2.66:1 and are still frames from video sequences shot using an Iscorama 36 anamorphic cine lens. The other images are stills were made using 16-35mm F/4 lens. I color graded the movie stills in Resolve and images in Lightroom.
Images NOT available for RM Stock or fine art prints.
